Born Chantel Veronica Collado, in Toronto Canada, Chantel has had a passion for music from a very young age. Chantel grew up in a musical household with influence from her father, born in Dominican Republic and her mother, born in Uruguay.
Chantel took her first steps in show business at the age of 9 through singing and acting. Since, Chantel has had the opportunity of touring internationally as a solo artist and opening for the likes of “Bad Bunny”, “Ozuna”, Marc Anthony” and more.
Many consider bachata to be a male-dominated genre, however Chantel is determined to represent her culture and empower women.
