Charles Mantis is a side project of Chicago multi-instrumentalist Gerald Bailey. CM has played live sets with notable acts such as Tall Black Guy, Ben Lamar Gay, Makaya, Will Miller and TAL. Most of the music involves a combination of beats made on the op-1 synthesizer, sp404 and live trumpet. Live collaborators include Daniel Villarreal, Kyle Hodges, DJ Mo Manley and Quin Kirchner.
