Charlie Tyler is a dynamic British pop-rock duo comprising vocalist Charlie Tyler and guitarist-producer Russell James Williams. Emerging from the UK's independent music scene, their journey began in April 2021 when Charlie and Russell connected through a mutual friend.
In December 2022, they began live-streaming on TikTok and by April 2023, topped the UK weekly TikTok rankings—the first music act to achieve this milestone.
They released their first album, Charlie Tyler, in March 2023 and made key appearances at TikTok's LIVE awards in London and Miami. In January 2025, they were awarded TikTok UK’s Number 1 Music Creator, in addition to receiving TikTok’s Global Music Choice Award for their original material.
Their second album, Illusion Lost, was released in September 2025 to growing acclaim, further showcasing their powerful sound and ambitious vision. That same month, they headlined a milestone concert at Liskeard Public Hall in Cornwall, marking their first major physical headline show. Charlie Tyler continues to engage audiences with their boundary-pushing performances, solidifying their place as a fresh and influential force in today’s music scene
