Crimson Calamity is a Nashville-based duo founded by Lauren Harding and Mallory Trunnell, known for blending Americana, folk, and sultry rock with a touch of mysticism. What began as a simple songwriting challenge quickly evolved into a powerful creative partnership rooted in vivid storytelling, rich harmonies, and an intuitive musical chemistry.
Their music weaves cinematic narratives with bold lyricism and layered instrumentation, creating songs that feel both timeless and contemporary.

With a haunting vocal blend and dynamic live performances, Crimson Calamity has carved out a distinct space within the modern folk-rock and Americana landscape.

Beyond the stage, the duo also hosted the music podcast The Liner Notes with Crimson Calamity, where they shared candid conversations with fellow artists about songwriting, creativity, and the stories behind the music.

Now stepping into a new chapter, Harding and Trunnell are currently self-producing an ambitious multi-EP project inspired by the four classical elements: Fire, Earth, Water, and Air. Each release explores a different sonic world—leaning into fiery rock textures for Fire, earthy folk influences for Earth, and other evolving soundscapes that reflect the spirit of each element. The series will ultimately culminate in a full double-LP release, marking the most expansive and immersive body of work the duo has created to date.
