A meticulous songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, Chelsea Warner fuses slick hip-hop inspired beats with clever lyricism from her home studio in Sydney, Australia. She is cultivating her own lane of conscious alt-R&B, exploring self, girlhood and growth in amongst navigating the odd existential crisis.
Her sound is influenced by iconic producers like J Dilla, Q-Tip and KAYTRANADA, and her writing and vocal style draws comparisons to Victoria Monét, Erykah Badu and Solange.
As well as working on her own project, Chelsea’s reputation as an emerging production powerhouse has been further consolidated in 2022 as a finalist in the APRA Professional Development Awards (Hip Hop/Rap/R&B/Soul Category) paving the way for her appointment as the only in-house writer/producer on the roster at the illustrious Studios 301.
As well as lending production/co-writing to other artists, including Nardean, Anieszka & Liyah Knight, her one-woman and band-backed live shows have seen her support JOY., Vetta Borne and Stevan.
With narratives that move between self-deprecation and self-love, she attempts to analyse the world around her and create her own signature take on alternative R&B in the process.
