Chemutai Sage is mostly known for her break out collaboration ‘So-Alive’ which she released early 2013 featuring well known Kenyan rapper, Octopizzo.
She is a classically trained pianist and self taught guitarist. Not one to be put inside a box, her music can be described as a fusion of R&B, neo-soul and pop with a hint of African rhythm.
In September 2015 She released her debut album <a href="spotify:album:2RJ6smuXUOLsBXDn41ZDlS" data-name="Expose Yourself">Expose Yourself</a> (a project she deemed a book about herself), from which the song <a href="spotify:track:2HwmYhn99ZqPyuQfDLsrpI" data-name="Heaven">Heaven</a> was used on the soundtrack for Kenyan Award winning film 'Rafiki'.
At the end of July 2020, Chemutai Sage released a 5 track EP- <a href="spotify:album:6rdSXm21K45CLRkxFdLQZu" data-name="Jungle Trap">Jungle Trap</a> that cemented her comeback to the Kenyan music echelons.
Followed up by her newest release <a href="spotify:track:5LH9sGAsEtE2ysKdKG7ZRh" data-name="Wild Trip">Wild Trip</a> together with Kenyan brass player and member of The Nairobi Horns Project, MacKinlay. The song shows her dynamism and speaks to different musical genres.
