Contemporary gospel vocalist and composer Cheneta Jones strives to reach her audience with relatable songs regarding faith and everyday life. The St. Louis, Missouri native was in an R&B group, not her first, in 2008, when she opted to devote herself to the church. Seemingly inspired by R&B-gospel groups like <a href="spotify:artist:6XFgX9kLg3pUAkLY0byY2I">Trin-i-Tee 5:7</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:12Kgt2eahvxNWhD5PnSUde">Mary Mary</a>, Jones debuted in 2012 with Transformed, an album that reached number 14 on Billboard's gospel chart. Jones was subsequently nominated for a Stellar award in the category of Best New Artist.
