Cherose is a Nigerian American Singer, Songwriter, Rapper, Multi-Instrumentalist, Producer, Dancer, Percussionist and Filmmaker from Los Angeles, California. Her music style is a fusion of r&b, soul, funk, folk, house and afrobeat.
Music has always been apart of Cherose’s life since she was born. She grew up performing in church with her siblings and parents who were gospel musicians in Nigeria. She always knew she was destined for greatness but it became clear to her as a teenager when she attended Grammy in the school’s workshop at USC with her classmates. Cherose was chosen by Jimmy Jam to sing in front of all the students in attendance from various schools and the guest speakers that included Kanye West, Fantasia, G. Robertson, Sean Garret & Mike Clink from Rolling Stone Magazine. She was applauded for her incredible singing ability by the students and guests speakers including Kanye West but it was Fantasia that invited her to sing again at a different workshop at the event where she met Randy Jackson and was later featured in People Magazine & Grammys.com.
Cherose received a music scholarship to Musicians Institute’s Vocal Institute of Technology and also graduated from The Los Angeles Film School for Audio Engineering. She is currently working on finishing up her debut EP titled “The Calling” produced by her in 2025.
