Murat Işık, professionally known as chillhead, embarked on his journey into music production, recording and arrangement during his childhood. In 2008, he established an amateur studio, which marked the beginning of his extensive career as a producer, recorder, editor, designer, and mixer on numerous amateur and semi-professional projects.

After taking a break from music production to focus on his academic education, chillhead returned to the industry in 2017 as a professional music producer and sound designer. Since then, he has worked extensively in various roles, including mastering at many venues. His expertise encompasses creating arrangements, mixes and collaborating with a variety of artists across a wide range of genres such as Hip-Hop, Rap, R&B, Ambient, Down Tempo, Chill Hop, Lofi, Chill Out, Reggae, Electro House, and Techno.

In 2020, chillhead launched his solo music career with his debut album, "Chillhead Tape No.01," a conceptual project featuring elements of Hip-Hop, Chill Hop, Lofi, Ambient, Trip Hop, Funk, and Trap.

In 2023, chillhead founded the music label OldSkoll. Although this venture lasted only one year, it was a significant milestone in his career, during which he managed every stage of the music projects from production, recording, editing, and mixing, to specializing as a Dolby Atmos Mixer.
