Detroit rapper CHOZ fell in love with music when he was 9 years old.He was captivated by the soulful Motown melodies played on his grandfather’s record player.At the age of 13,CHOZ began using a boom box and tape recorder to record himself free-styling over various Hip Hop instrumentals.As his passion for music intensified, he began to study the art of song writing.

Living in a city filled with drugs, gangs, violence, and poverty—and losing his father to drug addiction, CHOZ began to use rap as a form of therapy.While pursuing his music career, he began to hustle the streets, which led to countless run ins with the law, being shot, and a lengthy prison sentence. Despite life’s trials and tribulations, CHOZ diligently pursued his musical dream.
