Growing up as the son of a band and music director, music has always been in my blood. I was surrounded by instruments, rehearsals, and the deep-rooted passion that comes from a musical family. At just 12 years old, I wrote my first song, “Cruise on to Zion” — a title that now feels more meaningful than ever. Even back then, my songwriting reflected a spiritual longing, a glimpse of the faith that would continue to shape my journey.
Although I stepped away from the music scene in my twenties and thirties, I never stopped writing — especially Christian music. Faith has always been at the heart of my lyrics, even in the quiet seasons. In time, I found my way back to the stage, becoming the lead singer of my own Texas country band, a role I’ve been honored to carry for over 15 years. Through it all, my style has remained rooted in honesty, storytelling, and a love for songs that speak to both the real and the redeemed.
Today, I’m chasing less of my own desires and more of God’s. I’m leaning into His calling, writing and performing music that points back to Him. Whether it’s country, gospel, or somewhere in between, my mission is clear: to use my voice and story to bring hope, healing, and truth. The road hasn’t always been straight, but the destination — Zion — has always stayed the same. And now more than ever, I’m excited to keep cruising toward it.
