Chris Neufeld

My name is Chris Neufeld, and I’m from Bakersfield, California. I’ve been playing keyboards since I taught myself at age 2, and I’ve been dealing with Autism since age 3. I started playing in bands with my Dad at age 7, and it only got better from there. In 2007, I began working with <a href="spotify:artist:7gAsItJhlhMhu1gPPzfyyG" data-name="Monty Byrom">Monty Byrom</a>, playing gigs and later recording with him. We’re still working together to this day.

I am also currently performing with <a href="spotify:artist:4z71dc0QYklNM5bhZnpFQx" data-name="Harold Cox">Harold Cox</a>. Most of the gigs I play are in the local area of Bakersfield.

I’ve been working on my forthcoming new album, “abNORMAL,” for a few years on ProTools and I hope to have it out by the end of this Summer. It definitely represents who I am, what I can do musically, and a whole lot more. The album’s title track and lead single imagines people with disabilities, such as Autism, ruling the world and proving that we are just as powerful, creative, and capable as anyone else. Being “abNORMAL” is what makes us extraordinary, and this song celebrates that truth.
