Born and raised in New York, artist and songwriter/producer Chris Seefried started his recording career in the early 90’s when his band Gods Child was signed to Warner Brothers records and released the album “Everybody”, written and produced by Seefried. This hazy New York street document garnered the top 20 psychedelic alt-garage radio hit “Everybody’s 1”. After releasing the critically acclaimed follow up album “Aluminum”, the group moved from New York City to Los Angeles and re-branded themselves as Joe 90. Their "trippy song-strong" album “Dream This” was recorded and released by Geffen records. Seefried then released “Denim Blue”, his only solo album to date, while founding and co-producing Americana band Low Stars, before moving steadily into writing and producing other artists full time.
His first productions and co-writes were the early throwback-soul records of Fitz And The Tantrums, including EP “Songs For A Breakup Vol. 1" and full length debut “Pickin’ Up The Pieces” which features the hit song “Moneygrabber”. His recent work includes the Grammy Nominated Andra Day debut “Cheers To The Fall”, Trombone Shorty’s Blue Note records debut “Parking Lot Symphony” (which hit #1 on the Billboard Jazz charts), The Kooks latest album “Lets Go Sunshine”, Pokey Lafarge’s new album on New West records titled “Rock Bottom Rhapsody” and the upcoming debut album "Black Acid Soul" from exciting new Soul/Jazz artist Lady Blackbird.
