For Chris Sligh, country music comes honestly. Born in a little town 45 minutes north of Nashville, TN, his first musical experiences were old country legends like Hank Williams Sr, Jim Reeves and Johnny Horton. His musical palate expanded over the years, learning songwriting and artistry from artists like Bryan Adams, Tom Petty, Counting Crows and the Beatles, but he has always found solace in the music coming from Music City USA, and his greatest accomplishment as a singer and songwriter was penning the #1 smash "Here Comes Goodbye" for Rascal Flatts.
In 2024, Sligh finally returned to his country roots, releasing music that combined his deep history with pop and rock music with the country music that originally shaped him. His first release of original music in years was the Americana/folk/country amalgam “Black Magic”
Sligh lives with his wife and two kids in Nashville, TN.
