Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Sixteen Cities began as a student ministry in a public high school in Portland, Oregon. Over the next few years, Sixteen Cities began to record and release original music while touring the Northwest. In 2008, the band signed a record contract with Centricity Music in Nashville and began touring nationwide. Sixteen Cities’ debut album with the label showcased a new sound and direction for the band, including several songs that reached the Top 20 in Christian music. Sixteen Cities released two more albums with Centricity before deciding to focus exclusively on worship music. In 2012, Sixteen Cities relocated to Dallas, Texas where they became the contemporary worship band for The Heights Baptist in Richardson, TX. In 2015, the band released their most recent worship album, entitled The Depth of Your Love.
Sixteen Cities has continued to follow God’s call on their lives, with new members joining over the last few years. The band has now transitioned to the name Revenant Worship (@revenantworship). Although heavily committed to their local churches, the members of Revenant Worship come together as a band to bring their passionate and unique expression of music to people all over the world.
