Location: Los Angeles, California/Oslo, Norway
Years Active: 2008–present

Formed in Los Angeles in 2008, Christ vs. Warhol was born out of personal unrest and political disillusionment. Emerging from the DIY underground, the band forged its identity through a collision of post-punk edge, gothic atmosphere, and radical politics. Their sound is a dark, driving force—part protest, part elegy—giving voice to the anger and grief of a world in perpetual crisis.

Taking their name from the tension between the sacred and the synthetic, Christ vs. Warhol confronts themes of alienation, resistance, and historical trauma. Their debut album, DISSENT, marked a bold entrance: a raw, urgent soundtrack for political awakening. This was followed by WE, THE VICTIMS OF HISTORY, a brooding and expansive record that delves deeper into memory, identity, and the cost of silence.

Over more than a decade, Christ vs. Warhol has remained fiercely independent and unapologetically confrontational—committed to making music that doesn’t just reflect the times, but fights back against them.
