CHRISTABEL is a Kiwi-born, LA based neurodiverse artist whose music is dynamic, raw and unfiltered. Christabel began writing songs from the age of five, continuing to hone her craft throughout her school years and beyond. Christabel‘s ’big break’ finally cleared in early 2021, Shortly after the first COVID-19 lockdown, when she was cast in Reality Talent TV Series, Popstars New Zealand. After 6 months of filming, Christabel was crowned the Winner of Popstars in June of 2021 by Judges; Kimbra (Artist, Grammy Winner & 'Somebody That I Used To Know' Singer), Vince Harder & Nathan King.
Christabel’s musical style is defined by her exceptional vocal ability — an honest, gritty, belting voice that effortlessly moves between pop anthems, emotional ballads, and moments of undeniable vulnerability. Drawing comparisons to a mix of artists such as Amy Winehouse, Florence + The Machine, and Lady Gaga, Christabel ‘genre-blends’ elements of pop, indie, and alternative music, creating a rich and diverse sonic catalogue.
Her now completed Debut Album, ‘INTUITION’ (set for release in 2025), is a collection of pop anthems and ballads that invites listeners into Christabel’s own journey. Each song reflects moments where she listened, questioned, or silenced her own intuition. Her projects are loaded with self-discovery and resilience, all told through the lens of a woman unafraid to confront the brutal truths of her own life.
