Chutney have left an imprint within the South East Queensland scene with their electrifying live shows and expressive songwriting. The five members combined in late 2019 and have since continued to hit the mark with their own brand of condiment rock, soaked in vivid lyricism, slick guitar lines, pounding drums, throbbing bass lines and a whole lot of attitude.
Hailing from the Gold Coast, these talented musicians have embarked on an electrifying journey through the first half of the year, captivating sold-out audiences on multiple East Coast Australia tours. With consecutive single releases securing support from industry tastemakers MTV and Rage, and even receiving national airplay rotation on Triple J and MMM, Chutney's ascent culminated in a coveted spots at the iconic Australian Festival Splendour in the Grass festival where they delivered an electric performance and cemented themselves as a local band of the future. Chutney were also named Triple J Unearthed feature artist in November 2023, securing the opening band slot at Queensland’s biggest ever festival Spilt Milk on the Gold Coast. The group have enjoyed supports with some of the country’s finest including King Stingray, Beddy Rays, Bootleg Rascal, The Terrys, Pacific Avenue, San Cisco, Skegss, The Rions, Big Twisty & The Funknasty and Tones And I.
With exhilarating performances and the upcoming release of their Sophomore EP ‘Lick A Little’ it’s a good time to be a fan of the Chut.
