Hailing from former mining villages around South & West Yorkshire. Civic Green's no nonsense, driven, distinguished sound shows maturity beyond their years. The bands debut singles "There Is Always A Light" and "City Streets" in 2020, established the band as one of the UK's most exciting unsigned acts with widespread international airplay. They followed up the tracks in 2022 with their debut 5 track E.P "Sailing The River", amplifying their sound to another level with orchestral backing. It has been described as one of the best debut E.P's by multiple music outlets.
In March the group played their stadium debut pre-match at Oakwell in Barnsley, UK. Following this, the band went and recorded two songs for 2023, 'Better The Devil You Know' & 'Time'. Barnsley FC used 'BTDYK' for the clubs end of season review, and asked if the band would write them a track, which the band have produced 'My Love, My Town' which is out now. They finished the year off by releasing a Christmas inspired cover of 'Only You' originally from Yazoo.
