So far Cloudwalk is still a new band coming on to the international music scene, yet with a Scandinavian touch to their dreamgaze sound, the group has already found its way into the playlists of American shoegaze radio station, DKFM, amongst others. The three piece has also supported international indie acts such as The Holydrug Couple and The Rumour Said Fire.
Cloudwalk are now releasing their debut album Rise Again; My Sun, My Mind, which, in contrast to their earlier releases, is built around strongly personal events, backed up by a heavier foundation of melodic and melancholic compositions. The album draws in a wider array of musical elements, where intimate ‘n raw piano, heavy basslines, elevating vocals, and an exploratory drum production assist one another. As a counterplay to these elements, Cloudwalk’s dream poppy and shoegazey guitar work centers as the melodic hook-loop that will sustain in one’s memory.
