An alternative dance act with a melodic and fragile sound, Clubfeet features a mix of Melbourne, Australia and Cape Town, South Africa natives: Sebastian Cohen (guitar, lead vocals), Montgomery Cooper (keyboards, programming, backing vocals), Vivian Croft (drums), Bennington Le Bruce (keyboards, programming, backing vocals), and Yves Roberts (bass, backing vocals). They debuted in 2009 on New York's Plant Music with "Teenage Suicide (Don't Do It) and a vinyl only release of “Edge of Extremes” on Future Classic. Their debut album, Gold on Gold came out on Plant Music and Illusive, with Pitchfork giving the album 7.7, saying Clubfeet “balanced stylized adult aspirations with nostalgic teenage candour” and Fader said the band were “melancholy and grandiose”. The band’s follow up LP “Heirs and Graces” was released in 2013 featured their breakout singles “Everything You Wanted” and “Heartbreak”. ~ Andy Kellman, Rovi
