Cold Heaven is a rock band formed in the late 2000s in Newburgh, New York. The band’s members are Mitchell Flanagan singer/bassist/songwriter and Kyle Hornbeck singer/guitarist/songwriter. They write and record their own songs. Music most often arranged by Hornbeck while Flanagan is the sole lyricist. Their sound has punk roots incorporating synths and haunting melodies. Songs range with dominant melodic bass lines to towering layers of guitars and synths with sorrowful, painful and at times deeply sad themes with a pop sensibility. While playing live shows Cold Heaven continues to write and record new songs. Debut album Between Conversation and Silence was released in September 2013 and is available via Bandcamp along with their new EP Slow The Drought. Influences: The Cure, Joy Division, New Order, Interpol, The National, Hammock, Sigur Ros, and Alkaline Trio.
