I’m from a small town in South Carolina, where I spent most of my life until heartbreak shook everything loose. I left when I didn’t know what else to do—wound up in New York City chasing a kind of silence only a loud place can give you.
That’s where I recorded Algos & Astrology—in a small studio in Herald Square, still carrying pieces of the life I was trying to let go of. It’s a concept record built around grief, movement, and the weird space between endings and beginnings. No big breakdowns—just the kind of slow burn that stays with you.
The songs are stripped-down and honest. Part folk, part Americana, a little country, gospel and indie mixed in. I didn’t try to make it clean. I just tried to make it real.
These songs are a walk through Greif, written across multiple cities from Atlanta to Vancouver, Toronto, and finally my home away from home, New York City.
