As a prominent musician in the Pacific Northwest music scene, Cole Robinson has earned a reputation as a creative and dynamic soloist performing in numerous funk, blues, soul, jazz, and rock bands.
With a commitment to carving out music that is uniquely his own, Cole produced and performed his recent EP Space Helmet as a solo effort. It is high-energy instrumental groove music influenced by Herbie Hancock and Miles Davis's 70s work fused with 90s grunge. To achieve his sonic goals with this record, he had to learn the necessary production and mixing skills through study at Berklee College of Music, building a recording studio, and extensive experimentation. An improviser at his core, Cole is now excited to see where his favorite collaborators will take this music in a live setting.
Cole’s compositions are inspired by the landscape of the Pacific Northwest, surfing in the Pacific Ocean, and the experience of being a new dad. As an educator, he has mentored hundreds of developing musicians.
