Singer-songwriter Cole Sams first emerged onto the music scene as the frontman for the UK Garage Punk band, The Rips. Formed in 2002, The Rips quickly gained recognition for their youthful energy and raw talent, securing coveted support slots for indie legends like The Libertines and The Inspiral Carpets, culminating in a performance at London's prestigious Shepherd's Bush Empire. Despite their promising trajectory, the band's journey was cut short when the pressures of balancing music with everyday jobs proved too much. The Rips amicably disbanded, remaining close friends, leaving Sams to embark on his solo career.
