Colin Miller is a musician, singer/songwriter, originally from Southern California. His latest EP, Skyhorse Radio, is a solo effort of original songs, performed and produced using local musicians in San Jose, Costa Rica.
This album is what Colin calls, “Landscape Music”, influenced and inspired by a journey man lifestyle from his native California and the desert southwest, down south to the melting pot of New Orleans and even further south to a his adopted country of Costa Rica.
“I move around a lot, trying to land on my feet in the search for the place I belong, given that particular chapter of my life. I enjoy looking for a change of musical scenery and inspiration, looking to craft songs that can resonate with the precarious human conditions that we all share. Be that love and loss, our culture’s current state, what we’ve lost in the wake of the Information Age.
"I love getting in the same room with other musicians, from varying backgrounds and influences. We are losing a lot of the human touch in music because of technology. I think the most valid genres are those which still involve people coming together with their voice and instruments to weave together a song, and tell a story. For me, that’s where the magic is. "
