Collin Williams is a contemporary jazz saxophonist from Durham, NC, originally from Charlotte. He’s a double grad from North Carolina Central University’s Jazz program, where he studied with teachers like Dr. Ira Wiggins and Dr. Brian Horton. With over 23 years of playing, he’s done everything from military bands and jazz groups to weddings, shows, and solo sets.
His music often features vocals recorded with an EWI and vocoder, giving it a cool, unique sound. Influenced by hip-hop, soul, and R&B, he brings a fresh, soulful vibe to his smooth jazz. He’s performed with artists like Al Strong, Mavis Swan Poole, and Marcus Anderson. Now, he’s focusing on his solo career and new music.
