Austin-based band Color Candy is the brainchild of indie songwriters Merri Palmer and Kevin Martin. Merging rough-edged, alt-pop guitars with tender-hearted harmonies and intricate lyrics, the band brings both wild energy and a gentle suspense to their live performance. Other members include Taylor Muse (Quiet Company, Quadrophonics), Joe Gardener (Flavor Raid, Shark Rider), and Robert Wills (Les Rav, Silver Ships). The bands' latest album "Something, Somebody" will feature a collection of 5 songs dealing with a spectrum of issues including complex relations, societal wear, and endearing hope. The album is slated for release March 4th, 2020 with a show at Cheer Up Charlies. The group has also been selected as a SXSW 2020 Official Artist.
