Common Sense, came together in Southern California, taking their reggae-rock influences and creating their own style.

The group’s music bridges the gap between reggae, ska, rock, pop, funk and soul.

Influenced by the beach culture, Nick Hernandez (lead singer) always wanted to make a positive impact on the environment. If it's writing songs with a message or playing shows for a cause, the band is on board. Common sense has been involved with Surfers healing for autism since 2000. Someday it will all make sense. Guitarist, Billy Sherman was quoted as saying. “ mixing Reggae, rock ska and soul together
Has been our passion in Common Sense.”

Starting out in Santa Barbara the band built a strong college fanbase, then toured extensively playing festivals from The Vans Warped Tour to Farm Aid. They have shared the stage with many Reggae legends- Toots, Ziggy Marley, Steel Pulse and more. Common Sense is still playing today.

Releasing 6 albums under their own label, Common Sense Records. They have also released an album under the Virgin Label, Psychedelic Surf Groove. Their song "Never Give Up" was used in the movie Speed 2 Cruise Control, “In Your Eyes" was in the movie Kingpin.
