Connor Jay Liess is a singer-songwriter, Idaho balladeer, and roadkill mortician who writes songs and stories about railroad and mining history, hunting/fishing tales, and folk/bluegrass music inspired by the Rocky Mountain wilderness and the American West.

His fourth album, A Miner’s Guide to Hills and Depression, is a collection of 14 songs that trace the psychological highs and lows of life in Western mining camps and frontier wilderness.

Connor Jay currently lives in Idaho, where he works as an outdoor writer and founder/engineer of Trapper’s Attic Records, a one-stop roots music laboratory.
