Conrad Graham’s first instrumental effort following a seven month hiatus, “America”, is a sonic look through the quality of life and political scene as of current in the United States — a brash, unwelcoming and tumbling fragmentation of a country once hailed as the greatest. Blending the primal, raw textures by field recording alongside the shimmer of circuit-born dreamscapes, the six tracks that comprise America unravel like thread all in their own way, and silence becomes a collaborator. Influenced by decay, childhood, folktronica, and forgotten media, his sonic language is textural, intimate, and defiantly unpolished. There is no performance—only presence. Conrad is currently an unsigned artist, open to collaborators and labels who understand that some visions aren’t meant to be explained—only felt.
