A band you can finally like
Containers are an alt / indie rock band from Warrington, UK consisting of Sonny (Vocals / Guitar / Keyboard), Lucas (Guitar / Keyboard), Ben (Bass / Vocals) And Finn (Drums).
The 4 piece formed in college in 2023 studying music and started off by playing gigs in small venues around Warrington and Liverpool. They usually played as a support act before going on to headline their own shows. In February 2025 the band released their first single ‘Perfume’ onto all streaming platforms.
The group initially bonded over their similar but different music tastes and their overall love for music. They take influence from Arctic Monkeys, Los Campesinos! and The Wombats as well as taking influence from US emo and Pop rock. Melancholic chord progressions, howling guitar riffs, rumbling bass lines and powerful drum lines can be found in every song, which always well complements the lyrics. With sensitivity and emotional vulnerability, their lyrics tell stories about failed romance, cryptic poetry and painfully literal circumstances, as well as a fair share of references to beer and football.
