Milwaukee Recording artist Coo Coo Cal mixes Midwestern slang with the unmistakable sound of South-inspired beats, resulting in a style that mixes a number of hip-hop influences together as one, as evidenced by 1999's Walkin' Dead and 2001's Disturbed, the latter of which was his first for the Tommy Boy label and featured a trade-off with Chicago rapper Twista on the track "We Ride." Coo Coo Cal deals with the expected hip-hop subject matter (everyday life and struggles within the inner city), but injects his own personality into the proceedings to create his own hip-hop style. 2018 Coo Coo Cal Returns with a hot new single entitled “HOME” released as the lead song for his documentary COO COO CAL “THE UNTOLD TRUTH” Executive produced by KB. barrell and Swift Sloan this assures all of us that Cal has not lost it and is still a major force after all of these years.
