Country Johnny Mathis was an American Country Music singer/songwriter. More than 12 Country Music Hall of Fame Inductees and 2 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees have recorded his music. His songs were on top Billboard Charting Country Albums, Billboard Country Chart singles, Gold Records, and a Grammy Nominated album. Johnny received two BMI Citation of Achievement awards.
His songs are used today in films, documentaries, and TV shows such as CBS's 'Young Sheldon', the SYFC channel's 'Resident Alien', and ads for major brands such as Michelob ULTRA.
Country Johnny Mathis first started performing on the Big D Jamboree in 1949. He was a regular performer on the Louisiana Hayride as a soloist and of the Jimmy and Johnny duo with appearances on The Grand Ole Opry.
Johnny performed and toured with music legends such as Hank Williams, Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, George Jones, Jim Reeves, Johnny Horton, and others. He had his own top Billboard charting hits as an artist.
