Cousins Alfie and Billy Goffey formed ‘Cousn’ at the age of 16. Both from highly musical backgrounds they began to create their own unique sound. Each track crafted by the Goffey’s is an array of past subcultures. From the 90s techno rave scene, the DIY approach of the punks, and the eccentricity of acid. It’s the freedom that comes with escaping to the dancefloor that continues to push Cousn’s endless journey to never be pigeonholed.
Cousn are set to release their long-awaited debut album 'FAMLY Jewels' on new label 'Jack Said What' later this year. Their feelgood first single from the album is ‘Fluffy Teddy Bear’, which has already been premiered by Jaguar on Radio 1. “‘Fluffy Teddy Bear’ is about that really unique feeling you get only in glimpses,” the Cousn boys explain. “You’re on the best dancefloor, the music’s pulsing through you, you’re coming up, wow… What a crowd it is tonight, everyone’s so friendly. I feel happy, I feel I belong… I just want to cuddle everybody here… Let me fluff you up and down! Stroke my fur, run your fingers through it, I DON’T CARE!”
