Creation Rebel started as a studio project in 1978, recording the first ever <a href="spotify:artist:4vZIz0gG5DD3Qj9MB6kclW" data-name="Adrian Sherwood">Adrian Sherwood</a> production Dub From Creation, engineered by <a href="spotify:artist:0xJuAKhVgEfuiEXjyLEuC6" data-name="Dennis Bovell">Dennis Bovell</a> and released on the Hitrun Label. Originally the backing group for the late reggae great <a href="spotify:artist:6BkTUVaHHgKUAjc4U7xGUL" data-name="Prince Far I">Prince Far I</a>, Creation Rebel worked with Sherwood from 1977-1982, recording further classic titles Starship Africa, Rebel Vibrations, Psychotic Jonkanoo, and Lows & Highs. After the release of Lows & Highs in 1982 the departure of lead vocalist and bassist Lizard, and the death of <a href="spotify:artist:6BkTUVaHHgKUAjc4U7xGUL" data-name="Prince Far I">Prince Far I</a> I in 1983, lead to the end of activities for the Band.
