I started making music as a youngster, maybe around 5-6 years old with my older brother Scott. My grandpa was an old time fiddle player and bought me my first guitar and later on a mandolin. I didn’t pick up the bass til my late teens maybe around 17-18 years old as a necessity in order to play in a band called Southern Connection and I fell in love with the instrument and never looked back. Born in Duncan Oklahoma and moved to Texas by the time I was 3-4 years old. We spent our summers in Oklahoma so I claim both states as home. This song “Cabin on the Hill” is my first release as a solo project. It’s something I’ve thought about doing for a while and finally pulled the trigger.
