Cyra Gwynth is a genre-defying artist whose music lives where emotion meets experimentation — blending smooth R&B vocals with the bold textures of alternative R&B, 80s pop, glamrock, and hip-hop.
Born and raised in Belgium, she discovered her passion early through karaoke at Filipino parties, car sing-alongs with her dad blasting Eros Ramazzotti, and mirror performances that shaped her expressive voice and melodic instinct. She debuted in 2018 with Hold On, surpassing one million streams, followed by her EP Pink Cotton, defining her sultry and emotionally raw sound. Influenced by OPM legends like South Border and Sarah Geronimo, as well as Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, Rihanna, Avril Lavigne, and Paramore, Cyra blends soulful smoothness with an edgy pop-rock touch. While rooted in alternative R&B, she’s recently reconnected with the energy of 80s music, live drums, and alt-rock, exploring new depth with producer Luke April.
After signing with Classic Agency under Warner Music Benelux in 2019, she released singles with Lamsi merging R&B, trap, and EDM. Her 2022 EP CONSCIOUS earned over 500K streams and marked a mature new chapter. That same year she joined Belgium’s hit TV series Familie, reaching new audiences.
In 2024, she began writing for other artists and collaborating internationally, including with Filipino artist FELIP. With a voice rooted in R&B and fearless creativity, Cyra Gwynth continues to shape a timeless, genre-bending sound that is entirely her own.
