David Robert Lee is a 23 yr old music artist from Lexington, KY – a rising hub of southeast indie hiphop/rap. First influenced by Lil Wayne, he started writing and performing at age 13 and continued to develop his skill during nightly freestyle rap sessions with his best friends and members of LexTown Operation throughout his high school years. Inspired by gifted talents, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, Mac Miller and Logic, he created a home recording studio in 2015, sharpening his skill and voice in the conscious rap community. He has been featured on four albums, including Kingtucky, Break Loops and B-Sides and Legacy: Devine Carama’s Greatest Hits as well as Jone$y and Cobb Ransomm Present: 12 Nights of Lexmas in 2016. Deeply impacted by the sudden death of his father in the fall of 2015 and the murder of his best friend and music producer Caleb Hallett in January 2016, he released his first mixtape, 3D, a deep discussion of life, death, love, pain and what it means to be a conscious human being, on April 16, 2017.
