Dadabots met at Berklee College of Music, back when they used to play instruments. Tired of all those humans in those bands, they fell down the rabbit hole of python, arXiv, and github. At Music Hack Day MIT 2012 they formed Dadabots, an AI death metal band & neural audio synthesis research lab. As Prometheus brought fire to man, Dadabots bridged the ivory tower into music culture, carrying Theano models with buggy dependencies, GPU blazing, all night coding sessions on stimulants in dependency hell, ushering the earliest neural audio synthesis experiments into the hands of musicians, crossing the crevasse into black metal, breakcore, beatbox, and bass music. Their musicianship has since deteriorated, and they are embarrassingly out of practice. They also play algoraves.
