So many blessings are all around us and yet sometimes it's hard to see those blessings until you take away all that is obstructing the ability to experience them. A good pastor knows that this is a common human weakness as is evident in Paul's passage in 1st Corinthians 9:22-23 where he says: "When I am with those who are weak, I share their weakness, for I want to bring the weak to Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone, doing everything I can to save some. I do everything to spread the Good News and share in its blessings. In this same way God works in our lives by finding a place that is common ground between Him and us where we can finally connect with Him. The sad truth for most of us though is that we keep too many obstructions in the way and have never seen that He is right there in front of us waiting to talk to us, walk with us, love us, comfort us, embrace us and SAVE us from our own sins! Adversely, the good truth is that common ground with God can happen in so many ways. One way is by simply having a conversation Him. Other times you may just need to open your heart and listen to Him. Still other ways may be through prayer, worship, meditation, the word or music. I pray that the music and lyrics on my albums will provide a door for you to reach that precious common ground with our Lord Jesus Christ. -- Dale Clark
