Pionera en la evolución del sonido de la música de los Andes, Damaris fusiona y da vida a un movimiento musical con identidad y proyección internacional, donde el quechua y los géneros tradicionales se mezclan con los sonidos que marcan la tendencia actual de la música en el mundo. Como cantante, compositora y productora, Damaris es hasta hoy la artista peruana más joven en ser nominada a los Grammy Latinos, a los 22 años, en la categoría de Mejor Álbum Folk. Con su canción "Tusuykusun" (Bailemos), se convirtió en la primera artista en ganar el Festival Internacional de la Canción de Viña del Mar con una canción en quechua. En julio de 2025, empezó a lanzar sus nuevas canciones, que formarán parte de su cuarto álbum de estudio.
