DAMI IM – BORN IN KOREA, MADE IN AUSTRALIA
Beginning her musical journey as a virtuoso pianist, Dami's illustrious career as a singer-songwriter spans over a decade, marked by a constellation of hit albums. After completing her masters in Contemporary Voice, she became a household name when she won The X-Factor. Since then her performances have illuminated stages at home and worldwide, from the Sydney Opera House to Asia Songfest K-Pop Festival, Beijing Global Gala to the Byron Bay Bluesfest and her memorable presence at the Eurovision Song Contest where she earned her status as 'Eurovision Royalty' with her song "Sound of Silence" charting in 43 countries. She has toured with John Legend and in 2023, collaborated with the formidable jazz virtuoso James Morrison.
Outside of music, Dami has kept busy spending time with her husband and son, and also written her memoir ‘Dreamer’ chronicling her journey from her childhood in South Korea to becoming one of Australia's most beloved and successful musicians. In 2024 Dami published her second book, this time in Korean, called ‘The Hero’.
