Dan Heath is a Golden Globe-nominated composer, songwriter, and producer celebrated for his diverse musical talents and accomplishments. Classically and jazz-trained from a young age, Dan earned degrees in film scoring and composition, leading him to work alongside luminaries like Hans Zimmer and Blake Neely. He rose to prominence in pop music with his contributions to Lana Del Rey’s iconic Born to Die and The Paradise Edition, arranging and co-writing hits like Blue Jeans, Ultraviolence, Bel Air, and the Golden Globe-nominated title track for Tim Burton’s Big Eyes. His adaptation of “Once Upon a Dream” with Lana Del Rey was featured as both the closing credits song and the centerpiece for Disney’s “Malificent”. Dan continues to push creative boundaries, recently collaborating with Drew Macfarlane of Glass Animals, as well as Aaron Hibell, Gigi, and Asgeir.
Beyond pop, Dan’s compositions have been performed by the Budapest Symphony and London Symphony Orchestra, with his work featured in films, TV series, and global ad campaigns. He scored the film Gully, with his music interwoven into a soundtrack featuring artists like Snoh Aalegra and Dua Lipa. Recently, he composed the documentary Helen, produced by Chris Pratt, and is now scoring the docuseries Foundation for Religion of Sports. Combining technical mastery with artistic innovation.
