ABBOTT is an award-winning pianist and composer. With his music he explores the boundaries of classic and electronic music and designs melancholic yet dramatic listening experiences.
In 2020 his first album <a href="spotify:album:4OC1dZgBkAwNm917yELvfI" data-name="Somnia">Somnia</a> was released, containing twelve instrumental cinematic tracks, in the same year he got to work on with renowned <a href="spotify:artist:03d2mJXSMtuPI0nIvLnhoS" data-name="Zoe Wees">Zoe Wees</a>, arranging a ‘cinematic’ version of her hit <a href="spotify:track:66Swq4EeQvCSVO4Xf1dWQY" data-name="Control - String Version">Control - String Version</a>
His next single <a href="spotify:album:7A6v2isTzFfC5z60taBwmu" data-name="Home">Home</a> (2021), was in collaboration with the Deutsche Grammophon as part of the 'Projekt 12’.
ABBOTT than released the EP <a href="spotify:album:5uYQKIVEnscyHzaJMjjzvu" data-name="Unfold (XXIM:EXPO #2)">Unfold (XXIM:EXPO #2)</a> under Sony's new sub-label 'XXIM Records'.
Later that year he was commissioned to work on a Christmas piece for the Deutsche Grammophon. He reworked the score of the Dutch Christmas Carol ‘<a href="spotify:album:4k5DEQqVIzjU1DPw1CKMpp" data-name="Nu Zijt Wellekome">Nu Zijt Wellekome</a> which was one of his favorite Christmas songs growing up in the Netherlands.
In 2022 he reworked the song <a href="spotify:album:1BL7FRdKxGGcHu9FsSX02P" data-name="Done (ABBOTT Rework)">Done (ABBOTT Rework)</a> by his friend and colleague <a href="spotify:artist:3Ei4Zm5sKiLabWKEd8hfRh" data-name="Luna Morgenstern">Luna Morgenstern</a> - in the same year he also collaborated with <a href="spotify:artist:0zJa53LLSg4TcZ5Lm4zFB8" data-name="Edda Hayes">Edda Hayes</a> arranging the string orchestra for her song <a href="spotify:album:1UCNFYhAV1G5ZVOksjWVq9" data-name="Disappear">Disappear</a>.
In 2023 he released his latest EP <a href="spotify:album:2AYkX2u0YNy42CPu0Pgqnu" data-name="Elv">Elv</a>, which is an old-north-German term for ‘Elbe’ or ‘river’. The album was recorded on a ship lying in the Elbe together with the <a href="spotify:artist:2fDDFvi81fsu9osi2VhvNe" data-name="Canea Quartett">Canea Quartett</a>.
