Dan has written and released two albums under his own name,‘SubSuburbia’ was produced by Chris Hayden (Florence + The Machine) and released in 2020. According to Clash Magazine it appeared ‘…an intense magnifying glass upon post-Brexit, pre-dystopian Britain. Elements of these pieces are recognisable and semi-fictitious: the monotony of small towns, drunken evenings and abusive love affairs, all relayed as pictures’
His second album ‘Shuttered Dreams’ was recorded in an old theatre over in ten days during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dan enlisted the help of his band The Tenants and they set up at the theatre, recording the album live, choosing to indulge in as few overdubs as possible. Using strictly vintage equipment and old recording techniques meant the album has a timelessness and a rawer feel to the slightly more produced sound of SubSuburbia.
Dan plays live regularly and is currently writing and recording his third album in London.
