Dangerfields is a band from Cape Town, South Africa. Drawing inspiration from post-punk, shoegaze and psychedelic-rock sounds, they channel their personal experiences into big, atmosphere-driven songs. Their music features expressive guitars and synths with primal rhythms and dreamy vocal harmonies.
Since the band started performing in 2016, they have played most of the top music venues and festivals in South Africa and have shared stages with notable acts such as Thee Oh Sees, A Place to Bury Strangers, Moon Duo, Dead Meadow, Medicine Boy, Night Beats, NONN, The Gluts, YAK, Wolf Alice and more. They have released 2 EPs titled Embers and Ashes, and one full length album titled Echoes & Pulses, released on vinyl through Permanent Record in October 2019. In 2020 the band signed with international booking agency and record label The Good Times Co, through which they released their most recent EP titled Harder in 2022.
As of 2023, the band have been working on their next full length album, which is set to be released in 2025.
