Daniel Ortgiess is a platinum and gold-nominated producer who began his career at 16 by spinning vinyl. He earned a place at the Rock Academy (Tilburg), where he studied Sound Engineering.
Early in his career, Daniel made significant strides in the house music scene, producing projects like “We Are Loud,” receiving multiple awards and a Song of the Year nomination in 2014. He co-produced and ghost-produced for DJ Mag Top 100 artists. His tracks have been released under Spinnin, Armada, Smash the House, and Sony, and he has performed at major festivals like Dance Valley and Loveland Festival.
In 2018, Daniel started producing techno under his own name. He has released tracks on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover Recordings, Flashover Black, Yellowheads Reload Records, and Phutec’s Layer 909. He aims to make a lasting impact on the techno scene as a passionate producer, DJ, and live act.
His earlier sound featured dark, gritty melodies with a tech-house twist and a deep bass foundation. His latest productions lean more towards Melodic House & Techno.
Currently, Daniel Ortgiess is also the producer in the successful Dutch electro-pop band Prins en de Geit, performing at major festivals and clubs in the Netherlands and Belgium.
