Daniel Perestrelo

My name is Daniel Perestrelo, a Brazilian-Canadian composer residing in the enchanting city of Shawinigan, Quebec, Canada.

In 2024, I embarked on my songwriting journey, inspired by the proliferation of hits that didn't align with my musical taste. This led me to think: "I can't do better, so congratulations to the artist who went out and did it." I began writing my own songs but faced challenges in transforming my notebook scribbles into actual music. Fortunately, I'm surrounded by incredible artists and dear friends whose genuine talent encouraged me to record my songs in the studio and even compose for other artists.

I rely on artificial intelligence as a valuable resource to test melodies and identify potential adjustments to my lyrics. Numerous tools are available, but the process isn't easy. For every song I release, there are around 100 versions that end up in the trash, playing a crucial role in refining my work until I achieve a result I'm satisfied with.

Amidst this creative journey, I invited friends to record my songs in the studio, each track featuring a unique band formation. The result is my debut Rock album, set for release in 2025, featuring songs in Portuguese, English, and French. Thus, the band "Random by Destiny" was born.
