Daniela's voice is extraordinary. It hangs in midair, seemingly unconnected to any human source. — Sunday Times, London, UK
Favorite musical discovery of the year. — WNYC (NPR)
Daniela Gesundheit’s voice is like clear glass that she frames a kind of playful, velvet privacy with. Her melodies are bright and complex. There’s a lot of flirtation in the way she sings so unguardedly, right next to your ear at the volume of an intimate conversation. The sounds are sparse but so rich and carefully wild.— Leslie Feist
Daniela - whose words and music I have long admired . . . — Maggie Nelson
Daniela Gesundheit is a vocalist, composer, and cantor. She has collaborated with acoustic biologist Katy Payne (Songs of the Humpback Whale) for performances that feature choirs trained in Humpback whale song, and with the Institute for Art and Olfaction in LA creating olfactory music events. She was a featured vocalist alongside Brian Eno on Owen Pallett’s In Conflict and on astronaut Chris Hadfield’s Songs From a Tin Can - the first record ever to be recorded in space. As Snowblink, Gesundheit writes non-denominational devotional pop music and has released three critically acclaimed records. She periodically joins forces with Feist and Montreal's LaForce to form their elusive band, Hydra. She officiates lifecycle rituals in California and Canada. She lives in Los Angeles and haunts Toronto.
